He is a highly accomplished banking and finance professional with over 23 years of extensive experience in the financial services industry. Over the course of his career, he has held several senior leadership positions, including serving as Chief Operating Officer at Commercial Bank of Maldives.
His core areas of expertise include corporate, SME, and retail credit analysis, project financing, international trade, risk management, treasury operations, strategic business development, and organizational transformation.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Sri Jayawardenapura. He is also a passed finalist in Management Accounting from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). In addition, he has completed the DBF Level qualification at the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL) and holds an Associate qualification in Banking.
Further enhancing his professional profile, he has successfully completed multiple specialized diplomas, including Integrated Bank Risk Management, Credit Management, Corporate Banking, International Trade, and Islamic Banking from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL), as well as a Diploma in Project Management from Wigan & Leigh College, UK.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, he serves as a Director of Help School Foundation (Guarantee) Ltd., which is recognized as one of the leading charitable organizations in the country.
